After graduating from the Artcenter College of Design in 2001, with a major in photography and a minor in film, I embarked on a colorful journey as a commercial advertising photographer in Los Angeles. In 2013, after a decade in the industry, I decided to segue from this role to creative direction focusing on branded content, larger scale ideas and creative communication less confined to traditional media - certainly taking the road less travelled to arrive at this position. Now days, I wear many interesting hats that keep me on my toes and challenge me to re-create and re-invent with every project. Starting from strategy to client pitch, then on to production, post and delivery - and ranging from film to VR to stop motion, to environmental, every day is a new experience.
After years of learning and personal character building, I’ve come to truly believe in the power of a brave and open mindset and producing bold and impactful creative content that stands out. I’ve found it the surest route to meaningful change.
With my head in the clouds and feet on the ground, my work tends to circle around the beautiful struggles that surround the human condition. Over the years, it’s been rewarded with numerous accolades – Addy’s, How, Print, CMYK, Communication Arts and the One Show. This has allowed me to work with a diverse range of clients–from start-ups to fortune 500’s and in locations from Raleigh to Shanghai.
The road ahead, as curvy as it is curious, and offers a kaleidoscope of opportunity. And you’ll find me speeding down it, doing donuts and grinning all the way.
